How equitable is your design?
You are invited to join Arup on Tuesday 7th March at the Library of Birmingham for a discussion on how equity plays an important role in modern design, architecture, and urban planning.
Equity can be addressed on many levels, and as a business, architecture and design should be considered important tools to materialise the principal equity in the spaces we live and work in. Four of our leading experts in the Midlands will lead a panel discussion into several of the biggest topics relating to equity considerations in the built environment. Expect to gain an insight into best practices and considerations for embracing equity in your architecture and design.
Our Panel:
- Alison Kilby, Property, SIT & Social Infrastructure – Alison leads the mechanical team in the midlands and coordinates multi-disciplinary engineering input into building projects across all sectors in the UK and overseas.
- Danielle McGrellis, Midlands Digital Markets and Advisory Leader – Dani shapes and delivers complex digital, technology and innovation programmes for a broad host of clients.
- Russell Smith, Inclusive Environments Consultant – Russell is an advisor, advocate and specialist on accessibility and inclusive technology in the built environment, of which he is an end-user of.
- Tammy Strong, Associate Digital Services Portfolio – Tammy leads innovative solutions for data modelling and visual storytelling across all sectors of engineering and environment consultancy.
- Sally Friswell, Associate Director in Fire Safety Engineering – Host – Sally implements performance-based fire strategies for a spectrum of buildings and structures across the built environment.
