Guest Speaker – Adam Thompson
Our speaker for this month is Adam Thompson – Associate at the international law firm Trowers & Hamlins LLP, visiting lecturer at the University of Law, and member of the G4C Midlands Committee.
Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2014, Adam has been involved in resolving a wide range of commercial and construction disputes through negotiation and mediation, often helping clients avoid formal dispute resolution entirely.
Adam’s session will be on ‘Negotiation Skills’, a vital ‘soft’ skill for many professionals engaged in the Construction sector which is often overlooked.
His presentation will consider how to best prepare for and approach a negotiation before giving attendees an opportunity to put those skills into practice with a construction focused negotiation task.
