Sarah specialises in both contentious and non-contentious advice. She has particular experience helping clients in relation to the Building Safety Act, sporting projects and digital construction. Sarah has vast experience of providing advice to assist clients with navigating and staying compliant with the Building Safety Act. From leaseholder certificates to registering higher-risk buildings to navigating the gateways processes Sarah is a market leader in this new and fast paced area of law.
She has produced checklists to assist clients with complying with their obligations of managing higher-risk buildings and her dual specialisms of building safety and digital construction leaves her well placed to advise on the Golden Thread of Data. Sarah sits on the British Property Federation’s Building Safety Sounding Board.
Sarah also specialises in the field of Building Information Modelling (BIM) having advised numerous clients on the incorporation of this technology into their projects. She has had several papers published on the subject as well as being a named contributor to the Chartered Institute Of Building’s Complex Projects Contract, having assisted with drafting of the BIM clauses. She also co-authored The Winfield Rock Report for the UK BIM Alliance.
Sarah is partner lead for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and sits on the board of Freehold LGBT+ CIC, a network for property professionals who identify as LGBT+. In April 2024 Sarah was awarded LGBTQIA Corporate Champion of the Year at the DIVA Awards.
