The Web of Sane and a life in the year of the Building Safety Regulator

The Building Safety regime is complex and made up of over 270 separate official source documents! These consist of primary legislation, secondary legislation, statutory instruments and connected guidance documents.

This presentation will help you to answer the fundamental question of “where do I l start? … and how do I learn about how to learn about the Building safety Act?! … and how do I find the parts that apply to me and my role?”

Jason Whittall, RIBA is a Director of One Creative Environments Ltd – an award winning multi-disciplinary consultancy. Jason specialises in Digital Information Management, and has led the development of the ONE Engage platform, designed to address specific information requirements required within the Building Safety Act, and through this experience decided to map the Building Safety Act!

Andrew Rich, FSP Technical Manager

Andrew’s career spans over 40 years in the construction industry, including 28 years in Building Control, 5 years with a local fire and rescue service, and a year with the Building Safety Regulator. He has also been involved in high-risk residential buildings, nuclear-licensed sites, educational developments, heritage, and major conservation projects.
