Empowering communities – creating lasting social impact
We are excited to invite you to ‘Empowering Communities – Creating Lasting Social Impact’, an event delivered in partnership by Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber, Constructing Excellence Midlands and Geo².
This event is dedicated to exploring social value, and the practical steps that any construction sector stakeholder can take to increase socio-economic inclusion in their workforce and within the supply chain. By collectively driving and promoting social value, our organisations can collaborate to create a more diverse and inclusive construction sector for the benefit of the communities in which we live, and for society as a whole.
You will hear how the power of the supply chain can be harnessed to provide mentoring, work experience, and open the door to more work opportunities and good quality jobs for those who are marginalised in society.
We will be joined by:
- Andrew Carpenter, Chief Executive Officer of Constructing Excellence Midlands
- Dan Newton, Constructing Excellence Yorkshire & Humber
- Gavin Hoccom, Partner at Browne Jacobson
Topics will include:
- The importance of social value and the impact that organisations like yours can make to bring real change to the lives of others;
- The practical steps that all organisations can take to increase socio-economic inclusion, internally and within the supply chain; and
- The Social Mobility Index, and how employers are achieving success through engagement with the Social Mobility Foundation.
Register now to secure your spot and be part of a movement that is working towards a more equitable and inclusive future for the built environment.
