Growing construction firm Stepnell which operates across Central and Southern England, has opened a Bristol office in Aztec West business park.
Stepnell’s new Bristol base strengthens its construction presence in the region and along the M4/M5 corridor where the 151-year-old contractor is driving forward its planned expansion programme. The move follows the recent opening of new regional offices in Birmingham and Southampton, which are supporting the firm’s growth strategy.
Stepnell undertakes a wide range of private and public sector projects, including complex schemes up to £30 million in value. This year the firm reported turnover up from £127.4 million in 2016 to £146.3 million in 2017.
“Bristol is a great new location for Stepnell and will provide an excellent base from which to enhance and expand our construction activities in the region where we have extensive expertise in building for the education, care, leisure, retail and commercial/industrial sectors,” says Chris Faulkner, Stepnell regional director. “We’re here because our clients want us here and because there is a growing demand for good quality design and build, new build, restoration and refurbishment projects in the £2 million to £30 million value range, which is our niche area.”
Stepnell is currently delivering a multi-million pound, 64-bed care home and 24-bedroom rehabilitation facility in Cadbury Heath, South Gloucestershire. The company is also a construction partner in the new four-year, £8 billion Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) Construction Framework which will deliver new school buildings across England.
Close to Bristol city centre and the M4/M5 motorway network, the new office will also support Stepnell’s Wantage, Poole and Southampton office teams.
